Explore what the program offers
How the program works:
This will be a 30 minute group lesson during the school day. This will take place every Wednesday, unless they do not have school or school is canceled due to inclement weather.
The schedule rotates so they will not miss the same class each week and is created by the teacher. Children are placed based on playing ability so even if they are brand new to the program they can be placed in a group based on their ability.
They will need to bring their instrument with them to school each Wednesday and then take them home at the end of the day. They are required to practice between 60-90 minutes during the week. This is flexible and can be done when you have time.
There is potential for after school band but that will be determined based on the amount of students and this would apply only for those who play violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion. If this will take place then you will be notified prior and this will take place at the school and go from 3:00PM-3:45PM.
There will be two performances, they are mandatory. I do not have dates for these but the dates will be known before the end of September. This will allow for enough time to plan.
